The Boys and Girls Club of Cochrane is having a GRIT Family Meeting Thursday, January 31 from 7:00 pm- 8:00 pm at their 5th Ave location.
They will provide information about their out of school care program, modelling the GRIT program.
The out of school care program at the Boys & Girls Club has been modelling the Access, Support, and Participation (ASaP) project through Getting Ready for Inclusion Today (GRIT) program since 2015!!
Through ASaP, our accredited educators gain important skills, knowledge, and confidence to support children’s social and emotional development. The ASaP project provides best practices to promote social and emotional inclusion through universal support, targeted support, and intensive support for all children under our care.
Our club is the first site in the Calgary area to consistently model the 5-year process by preparing monthly meetings and visits, as well as preparing activities such as a mood meter to support children’s social and emotional well-being.
